A band born of dusk & distant thunder
A group of wandering musicians, one myth. Cinematic folk-rock spun from firelight, old maps, and the songs nobody remembers writing.
The Legend
The Tales of Aara began as scattered field recordings — a fiddle caught on a phone at 3 a.m., a hymn hummed in an empty stairwell. Stitched together, they became Aara: a shifting land of tide-worn cliffs, lantern-lit taverns, and travelers who sing to keep from disappearing.
The band trades verses like heirlooms — layering close harmony over hand-drums, drone strings, and the occasional storm. Live, they perform in a half-circle of candles, letting each tale bleed into the next until the set feels less like a concert and more like a night you were told about as a child.
